k-1 on process but think i'm pregnant?

sooooo my k-1 visa application is already on process but my monthly period is delayed and thinking i might be pregnant. will it affect my application? my father-in-law told me it will delay the process saying i can't have my medical examination not until i gave birth to the baby is it true? or any other reasons that can delay my application or worst will they reject my application?

Being pregnant by itself doesn't mean you cannot get a visa, but depending on where you are in the process, it MAT delay things as you cannot travel when near your due date. It is likely also a lot cheaper to give birth in the Phils.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

It won't be denied just because you're pregnant. It might be delayed especially if you are near your due date when you have to travel. certain vaccines during medical might also be waived. You do not necessarily have to give birth in the Philippines before moving forward with your visa. I say go forward and just see how things go. Congratulations if you are expecting!
