After I have sent all the documents to the NVC, should I also bring a copy of all documents to the interview too just in case? I am just worried that I might get a 221 denial of visa.

Approved : 2016-08-24

NVC

NVC Received : 2016-10-03

Received DS-261 / AOS Bill : 2016-10-15

Pay AOS Bill : 2016-10-15

Send AOS Package : 2016-11-01

Submit DS-261 : 2016-10-15

Receive IV Bill : 2016-10-18

Pay IV Bill : 2016-10-18

Send IV Package : 2016-11-01

Case Completed at NVC : 2016-11-04

NVC Left : 2016-11-11

US Embassy

Consulate has the right to ask for the original of any document submitted in support of the visa process. So take originals to the interview.

Always a good idea to bring the originals with you in case anything might have been reshuffled/misplaced in the original packet you mailed them.

K1 Visa

06-13-2015 - Engaged!

07-17-2015 - I-129F packet sent

09-02-2015 - NVC sent case to U.S. Consulate in Jerusalem, packet 3 sent via email

11-04-2015 - Interview (Approved!)

11-19-2015 - K-1 Visa in-hand

12-25-2015 - POE (Atlanta, GA)

AOS/Green Card

01-10-2016 - Got married

01-16-2016 - I-485/EAD application sent (same packet)

03-04-2016 - EAD card arrives in mail (successful expedite)

05-18-2016 - Received AOS letter with interview appointment

06-07-2016 - AOS Interview scheduled (Atlanta) - Approved!

06-15-2016 - Green Card in hand!

ROC

03-24-2018 - Mailed in ROC petition packet

03-27-2018 - NOA (packet received); 1-year extension

05-25-2018 - Biometrics

You will have a checklist on the letter informing you of the interview appointment from NVC

this will tell you exactly what to bring / you need to take this letter and all documents as needed to the interview

list states things like NVC has this document and it is not needed

fee is Paid or unpaid

this document was only a copy and need to take original to interview

complete checklist will be sent to you
