Hello,

This question is specifically for those who have experienced it or are currently experiencing it. My fiancee and I are worried. For those of you that filed from the Philippines and currently stuck in AP, any tips on how to ease the anxiety? We don't really know what the reason as to why it's still stuck in AP. I've read that some people here didn't have to wait that long to get their passports with their visas. Because it's taking so long, we can't help but think that something went wrong. Everything went well at the interview, even the CO said so and we didn't think we had any reason to worry until now. We did everything right, from filing and up to the interview. Is calling the US embassy worth calling about it? Thanks.

All you can do is wait, really. It's just a stage that every applicant has to go through . Some get stuck longer, some get their visa faster. If there's anything wrong, they'll tell you.

We understand that, but being stuck in AP for over a month now is so annoying. We wish we know what the reason is as to why it's taking too long to be processed. They have my fiancee's passport with them.

Did they say you are approved when you went to the interview? If yes, how long did they say it would be before you got your passport back with your visa?

It is annoying and frustrating. I was only in AP for a couple days back when I was getting my visa and I was (still) worried then. I've known people to be in AP for 3 or 6 months and some a year! Try giving them a call perhaps.

When you say you were in administrative processing... Are you referring to a further RFE from the CO? Or were you actually approved at the interview and put in AP after your staus was showing 'ready' on ceac?

We've been calling them, but they always gave us the run-around answer. "We will call you when your visa is ready." So annoying!

We've been approved already! They put AP after ready on ceac.

So when you got approved, how long did the CO officer say it would take for you to receive your passport/visa? How long did it really take?
