Hi All,

One quick question. Once we receive our NOA2 from USCIS and it's passed to the NVC, will they reach out to you by email with case number etc from the E-notification form used with USCIS?

We filed from abroad, so won't be able to receive a letter of instructions from them. I'm just wondering if i need to ring them after i get the NOA2 and give them my email address as it says if you haven't previously given one, provide them with one.

Please let me know if you know.

Thanks,

W

Once they have assigned the case number, call them with your email address and everything will be done by email. Much easier.

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

Thanks for your reply.

So how will I know once the NVC have received my case and assigned a case number?

Thanks,

W

What status does it show for your case on the USCIS website or app? When it shows "sent to NVC" count three days and call them to see if they have received it. If they haven't, keep calling every day to check but it shouldn't take more than 3 days to arrive from the date USCIS sends it. Once they confirm they have it, count 14 days and call back for your case number.

Did you call and ask if the NVC sends mail abroad? We also filed from abroad and I assumed they would send letters just as USCIS has to us.
