EAD and AP approval without biometrics?

9 posts in this topic

Hello everyone,

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum! I've just got notifications of approval for my EAD and AP but I've not had my biometrics yet?! I've got an infopass appointment to chase up my biometrics tomorrow but has this happened before? Should I be excited or worried?

Thanks!

From my experience, the biometric letter was sent in the first week of May 16, and my EAD and AP was approved a week later, having applied in March 2016. Unfortunately for me, the post office returned the biometric letter back, to USCIS, without me knowing. I eventually did the biometrics in mid June. For whatever reason, USCIS never printed the EAD card.

I ended up going through my Rep, after several calls and info pass. I only received the card last week, after having to turn down job offers.

Better keep on top of it. Start chasing them up if you don't receive the card within 30 days. Good luck on your journey.

Did my infopass appointment today and the lady I spoke to was nice, she gave me a print out of my biometrics which was scheduled for the 28th. I asked very kindly if I could do them today since my mother in law had taken time off work to take me and the lady rang through to biometrics and she said it was fine for me to do them now.

So popped round the corner to biometrics as they are all in one building in Phoenix and got them done pretty quickly, on the way home my phone went off and my EAD has been updated to "Card being produced" :)
