KINDLY HELP - Studying in US

Hello, I have been working in the US for 5 years on H1B. My I140 was approved with a priority date in Apr 2013. I am unhappy with my job function/industry and want to do an MBA to move into Finance/consulting. I will not pursue part time MBA/Exec MBA. Nor do i want to join my current company back after my MBA.

I have read that my I140 will become a problem in this process. Is it really true that after working here for so long , I cannot pursue education here?

Please suggest a solution. Thank you very much.

If you can prove you have the funds (remember if you switch to an F1, you won;t be allowed to work), then you can absolutely get a student visa to persue a full time MBA.

You can change your employer after 180 days past your I-140 receipt date. It depends on the type of the I-140 (EB2, EB2-NIW, EB3, ...) whether you can take a full-time study or not. If you can maintain H1B you can study but must also meet its requirements.
