Obtaining a Police report from another country

My fiancé (filipina) has been working in Thailand for the past 3 years as a nurse. Her work visa just expired so she renewed as a visitor in Thailand. She will be leaving Thailand in about 1 month - returning to the Philippines. When we completed our k1 application - we were told: 1) If her visa status in Thailand is "visitor" - she can not interview in Thailand that she must return to the Philippines for the K1 interview.... 2) because she lived in Thailand more than 6 months she will need to bring a Thai police report as well as a Philippine Police Report to her K1 interview.

She went to the Thai police station to inquire about obtaining a police report. They told her to bring her "letter" (assuming they're referring to the Package-4 letter which requests the fiancé to obtain medical, police, etc. documents).

Question: How does one (expeditiously) obtain a police report from another country -- assuming we must wait until she receives her package-4 letter? We were hoping to obtain the Thai police report before she left the country.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I have read that the NVC letter will do as it has your case number and the embassy to forward your application to. If you don't have that yet, she can try to take the 1-797 NOA as it states there that you are petitioning her as your fiancee. Just my thoughts...good luck!

You could try taking this to the Thai police station: https://ph.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/82/2016/08/K1-and-K2-Applicant-Interview-Preparation-Instructions-08112016-English-336KB.pdf

Or, you might try taking in the USCIS approval NOA.

An official letter from USEM which requires the COC can be secured from USEM. This letter should bear the applicants name and a file reference number (MNL#). Also, go to Window 38 at the US embassy in Manila and ask for the consulate letter requesting the PC if you cannot go there personally, then email: IVMANILAREPLIES@STATE.GOV and request your document.
