Can some please tell me if the i134 affidavit support form must be hand signed by my fiancè & given to the embassy in its original form or can he type the information onto the form, print it out and sign his signature and scan it to me? Basically is a print out of a scanned i134 form (including his signature scanned) acceptable at the embassy?

Also what about the date on the affidavit form does he date it or can I date it say for example on the day of my interview at the embassy?

A typed/hand written and signed then scanned document will be fine for the packet from your fiance in the UK.

The out of country beneficiary can sign and scan.

It should be an original document i.e. with a wet signature. The date can be whenever you filled it out-mine was dated a couple months before the interview because I was visiting my fiance in the UK and signed it then. We had no problems.

Have people had success at London with scanned forms? Everything I've read says it needs to be an original. I wouldn't want to risk it.

A general rule of thumb for ALL immigration forms mailed or turned in is original signature with the date being the date it was signed. Same for letters.

Have your fiancé mail it to you about the time your NOA 2 is received.

Note: Dating it the date of your interview would be weird. You are supposed to have it in hand before you submit the London Readiness form saying you have everything for your interview, which happens before you sign up for an interview.

Excellent, this helps a lot. Yes I thought it would look a bit sketchy if I dated the form next to his signature on the day of the interview. I will get him to send me the original beforehand. Thank you
