Hi Everyone, I have a question regarding Travel Permit. As you all know (or not) we received a RFIE last July and we finally sent out our response this week with our new joint sponsor. My question is: Is there anyway we can expedite this travel permit? I need to go back home as my dad is sick and might have an operation. :(

Adjusting from B1/B2 Visa:

07/01/2015 - Arrived at San Francisco (b1/b2)

10/28/2015 - Ended our 9 years of dating and got hitched.

Our Never ending Visa/Immigration Journey begins:

06/06/2016 - AOS package sent to Chicago Lockbox via FEDEX

06/18/2016 - NOA 1 (receipt)

07/15/2016 - Biometrics

07/25/2016 - RFE (for I-864 joint sponsor)

09/07/2016 - Responded to RFIE

09/09/2016 - USCIS will received our Docs (as per USPS, no update yet)

09/12/2016 - Infopass for 8am to Request for Expedited I-131 (Request APPROVED base on USCIS website)

Get a doctor's letter and do a walk in )or get the earliest possible appointment) for an infopass.

I agree with Penguin. Make an infopass appointment and go to your local USCIS office with your doctor's letter and your case papers. They can issue you an emergency travel document.

Thank you! Do we need to pay for it? or they will just advanced the travel permit that we already filed with our AOS package? Also i don't have a doctors letter as we are still waiting for my Dads biopsy result but i do have his Ultrasound result. He's been under medication treatment for the past 2 months already but he's not getting better, i am looking ahead and preparing now that's why i would like to get my travel permit ready while waiting for his biopsy result as well.

It would be free, basically an expedite of the one already filed.

Thank you Queen P.

Just last question, when we go there at the office Do i need to fill up a new form I-131? or they will just ask my Case receipt number and pull it up from the system? Also do we really need to get an info pass or we can do walk in? Thank you for info. :)
