Yea, will check with the attorney and see what we can do about this..

Thanks for the info!

It's so frustrating that the approval letter made it to the mail box on Feb 15th. But the GC didnt make it.. :/

My mailman put my new iphone into my neighbour's mailbox once and I chased him down to get it back out. They're a bit careless sometimes. Are you able to talk to your neighbours to see if they have it?

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Unfortunately USPS tracking only ever shows the city and zip. I think that's what darnit means.

That really sucks... Especially with something so important 😔 If the consequence of non delivery is hundreds of dollars, and a twelve month wait for the Resident, then they should at least mail it in a manner that it's covered for non delivery. Very frustrating.

Oh God.. so the building where i'm staying at is two buildings. Building 181 and Building 183 and they are next to each other. I just went to the other building apartment same number of my apartment and asked if they had any mail under my name back in February and the lady said she hasn't.. so.. I dont know.. it must have not made it to either buildings..

But maybe going to the local post office and checking with them might be helpful.

Stuff like this is why USPS is moving to signatures and proof of identity when mailing green cards in the future. Too many green cards going missing!

Ugh this is crazy! I'd go to post office talk to supervisor and  request investigation ... I did it once for lost package and surprisingly usps found it at different building. At least something.

Yea, i'll go and ask the local usps office here.. I'm not optimistic though.. :/

they mailed it to a different address in the same city.. How did the uscis put a completely different address on my file?? what the heck..

So the post office gave me the address that they delivered it to and I actually went to that address (which is half a mile from my place) and left a note with my number to contact me if they got my mail two months ago..

Hopefully they didnt trash my mail.. :(

I also emailed that apartment management about my situation..

we'll see what comes out of this!

I would notate everything for USCIS. Hopefully, if you can prove that THEY sent it to the wrong address, then you can file an i-90 with 'USCIS Error', and at least waive the new card fee.

Good luck!

Definitely get that in writing and send to USCIS with an I-90 filed under USCIS error. AND request an expedite.

Thank you everyone. I just back in the forum to figure out how long it took till you get the actual green card from the message “we are producing your card and we will mail it to you soon” but I couldn’t really figure it out. It seems like 2-3weeks. Is that right? Can anyone tell me how long, approximately. Thanks!
