Hey everyone I apologize in advance for my ignorance but I'm here to learn anyway. My question is my fiancé just moved back home after a4 year contract with the military. He is currently looking for a job and living with his mom. They are living with section 8 .My question is can he still apply for my k1 if he lives there? What if he makes above the poverty guidelines but decides to still live there ? Can anyone be so kind to explain this to me becuae I'm lost and I was googling more info and it got me even more confused :/

They are not concerned with where he lives or to whom he is living with. Their concern IS does he make enough money to support his future family above the poverty level. This is not going to effect his and your K1.

The mother has nothing to do with the two if you.

His salary has to be above poverty line for you and he. That's it.

A bigger concern might be that you might not be allowed to live with someone receiving Section 8 without them losing their benefit. Something to check up on.

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.
