Haha, yes, I've been flying to see Karl about every 3 months since we first met last August. Each parting has been a little less sad knowing we were getting closer to being together for good.

I was very hesitant to invest much more than simple chat with Karl at first, he was half a world away! What kind of crazy person gets involved with someone so far away?! But now we're crazy for each other and soon to be married :-D I never thought in my wildest dreams I'd find the love of my life in another country.

I'm sure everything will go well for Noom with his paperwork and interview. I was so stressed about the visa process with Karl and everything went so well. The embassy consuls are looking for any signs of illegitimacy, but they know love when they see it. Noom will do just fine and you'll be together soon. Much happiness to you both!

Believe me...I had NO intention of a long distance, international relationship! But that's what happened LOL. I'm confident everything will go well, but I'm a worrier by nature, so until it is all done I'll be worrying.

Apparently some embassies allow it and some don't...it is strange I think. He is in Thailand.

so strange, most embassies encourage the beneficiary to bring the petitioner

Hi. I'm curious. Will your fiancee be able to attend the interview with you? Or just be there for support. I'm not allowed to attend Noom's interview...he has to do that on his own. But I want to be there while it is going on...to be supportive and to lift his confidence and to celebrate! I hope it works out that way, but we'll see.

Why aren't you, the U.S. Citizen allowed at the interview? My American fiancé (at the time, spouse now) accompanied me to the K-1 visa interview, but this was at the U.S. Embassy in Manila.

Why aren't you, the U.S. Citizen allowed at the interview? My American fiancé (at the time, spouse now) accompanied me to the K-1 visa interview, but this was at the U.S. Embassy in Manila.

I truly don't know, and I don't understand it. Some embassies allow it and some don't. Unfortunately the embassy in Bangkok does not...so I waited outside.
