K-1 Interview at Montreal Embassy: I-134 & I-864

Hi all,

From all the research I've done and reading VJ, I've always thought that you need the I-134 for the K-1 interview at the embassy, and the I-864 when you apply for an AOS.

My interview is on August 24, and as I'm triple checking I have all my documents in order, I notice that the Montreal embassy has conflicting information on their website, in the email instructions sent to me for the interview, and on the packet 3 checklist.

The emails instructions (see attached) say I need to bring the I-134 AND the I-864?! But this is the ONLY place it lists both forms as requirements for the embassy interview.

From your experience, do they actually need the I-864 now or is this a mistake?

It says on your attached file that I-134 is for fiance, employment, and DV visas.




But yes, it's I-134 that you'll bring with you. The I-864 will be later, after you're in the US, married, and filing for AOS.

07/05/16 - Green Card received in mail!

04/29/19 - New card being produced!
05/09/19 - USPS delivered green card! In hand now!
