All K1 and K3 visa applicants must submit an Affidavit of Support (form I-134) along with the petitioners latest U.S. income federal tax returns. I went to ceac website and pick the immigrant visa and it says NVC will ask documents etc. Is this generic alert?

You do not fill out the DS160. That is the visa application filled out by the recipient of the visa. You can assist in filling it out but if you are the USC it is meant for your fiancé to complete and sign. The rest of your process is embassy specific

Good you already got case number.

From my experience, my fiance got email from embassy (ask beneficiary's email, mail address, phone number) a week after he called the nvc and got case number assigned. So it was fast movement from nvc to embassy in my country.

And yes you can check on the ceac web.
