All K1 and K3 visa applicants must submit an Affidavit of Support (form I-134) along with the petitioners latest U.S. income federal tax returns. If the petitioner is unemployed or has a low income, the applicant should find an additional joint sponsor (form I-864) who will be willing to complete an I-864 Affidavit of Support. The joint sponsor will also need to submit proof of their U.S. residency status (such as a copy of their U.S. passport, naturalization certificate or green card) and their most recent federal income tax returns. The I-134 and I-864 forms can be downloaded from the USCIS website at www.us

CAN SOMEONE VERIFY ???they are saying both I am unemployed right now and my brother is going to support me do i have to go for both?

Got the NVC case#. How do you track the case is transfered to embassy?

I went to ceac website and pick the immigrant visa and it says NVC will ask documents etc. Is this generic alert?

May I track the case via this website?

Hello Everyone!

So update on my status. I checked the case tracker and it says my case is READY. I am going to send m financial info to my fiance. What are the next steps? I need some help! I am starting to fill out the DS-160 tonight? How long does that take?

You do not fill out the DS160. That is the visa application filled out by the recipient of the visa. You can assist in filling it out but if you are the USC it is meant for your fiancé to complete and sign. The rest of your process is embassy specific

Good you already got case number.

From my experience, my fiance got email from embassy (ask beneficiary's email, mail address, phone number) a week after he called the nvc and got case number assigned. So it was fast movement from nvc to embassy in my country.

And yes you can check on the ceac web.
