I miscalculated before. I thought I could count rental income I receive from my 18 year old daughter, but because she gets her income from SSI I am not allowed to count it. So I am $490 a month short of the 125% income level.

OK, as long as you have a co-sponsor that meets all criteria, then you should have no problem in Kiev. They really don't care if you use a co-sponsor as long as all requirements are satisfied. Interviews are pretty easy there.

Have you heard of anyone using a co-sponsor in Kiev? Because I emailed them a few months ago and asked if they accept co-sponsors for K1 visas and their reply was "we typically do not accept I134 for K visas from joint sponsors". So not completely ruled out but not very promising either.

I don't know anyone personally. But go to advanced search on VJ and a search on co-sponsored on K-1 in Ukraine or try googling it. Just a quick search showed a couple doing it back in 2012 and was approved.

Has been done. Do a search on VJ or google. On a quick search I founf one from 2012 that got approved in kiev.

The only alternative if it does not work out on a K-1, is to get married, file an I-130 and do a co-sponsor on an I-864. Co-sponsors cannot be refused on an I-864 as long as requirements are met.
