They don't always email and sometimes they won't have your email on file either- even if they do I heard some people don't get the email. I also heard the hard copy mail letter comes way after or in some peoples cases they never got it or they got it even after their interview.

The best option is to call and ask them if they received your petition and then ask for case number. They usually assign case numbers by the next day or 2 for k1 visas.

603-334-0700 is their number

I hear a lot of people saying the petitioner needs to call.but I have heard of a lot of beneficiaries calling to see if case is received yet. I personally am out of the country and I am the petitioner and get my brother or sister to call for me sometimes because it's expensive for me to call and they never asked them who they are in my case (we call a lot )

If you call and ask if the case has been received they usually don't ask if you are the petitioner or beneficiary. They just ask your USCIS receipt number and if they received it they say yes...if it's there and I think if your getting the case number they ask- what's the petitioner name, beneficiary name and what are the date of births then they give you the case number.

I would call I am sure you will be fine.

I'm in a country where the Internet on my phone is also slow.

If you have good internet connection from your phone you can download the Google hangouts app it is free I believe or a very low price to call from outside the US. Skype is also good. Good luck hope you get your case number soon :)
