Thinking to move back to my home country

It's truth that she has not logged on VisaJourney.

However, this topic is interesting because many people are in the same boat.

Therefore, this topic is very meaningful.

The OP hasn't logged on to VisaJourney for about 3 weeks.

This is the 3rd I want to go home home thread I read just this evening.

I was also an immigrant and frankly can not relate to any of it.

Marriage is about commitment not feelings. It is about making a life together.

If cars, jobs, friends and family mean more to you than your husband then do him a favor and move back

and divorce so he can find happiness with someone who makes him a first priority.

It is normal to 'feel' homesick to some degree but this is about being an adult and not summer camp.

I just don't get it.

Harsh. Marriage is not about one spouse giving up everything. A period of adjustment is normal - the resident spouse needs to be understanding of that. The moving spouse needs to make an effort to make the adjustment. The beginning is gonna suck - especially when you give up an established life overseas. Rebuilding that is gonna take time.

And no doubt, sometimes it fails and you may be better off going back home - with or without your spouse.

Thanks for giving responses and sorry that I am not active for quite sometimes but I've read all of your responses and thanks a lot for the encouragement that you all shared. I can understand if some people think that my idea moving back is not a good one or not a responsible action, I was so lost and feel so low, made me stuck and think it all in a wrong way.

Anyway, I figure things out and try my best to deal with the situations. I came to some business networking events to build up network, I came to some Internations events too and meet a lot of expat that live in my area. I also followed one of your suggestion to take some certifications/educations so I registered for another Graduate program to start next spring at UT Dallas. I travel around the country, so far only Austin, New Orleans and New York but more city to come soon. 1 more good plan is my husband inviting my mom and my sister to visit us in US next month for few weeks, meeting them will recharge my emotions for sure.

So I am pretty tied up now, life is improving, I am exploring the country and I am enjoying my life now.

My husband been extremely supportive since I shared my feelings. We make plans to keep me busy. I guess the key is good communications.

As per job, still no clue. I still try to apply some jobs but still no good feedback yet. I got some offer but in a job segment that not in my comfort so I will just keep trying.

Anyways, thats the update from me.. Hope you all have a good life in The US.. !!
