I - 134 my income

Hello all,

We are just starting out here with our I - 129F package.

My check was cashed the other day and I'm waiting for the confirmation in the mail.

I am filling our the I-134 now.

I'm worried it will look like I don't make enough money to support my Yanyan when she comes here.

I don't own my own home and I have squat for savings.

How do they make their determination on enough support?

Am I up a creek here?

This is my number 1 worry about this whole thing.

I love her and want my Yanyan here with me.

Does anyone have an idea about this?

Thanks,

Paul

The income requirement is based on the poverty level. You have to earn 125% of the poverty, which in 2006 came to something around $19,000/year. A Google search will probably turn this up. Also, it should be listed on the I-864 Affadavit of Support.

However, your biggest problem is residence. If you are living in China, as I am, I suggest you get a second beneficiary, someone back in the States who is willing to sign the papers with you. Because they will say you are not qualified to be a sponsor if you don't live in America, and proving your intent to go back once you get her visa is also difficult. Better to have someone else co-sponsor with you.

Remember, their primary concern is money. They only want people who are going to pay taxes; they certainly don't want anyone who's going to collect welfare. Follow the money. Prove that you'll pay.

Poverty Levels for 2007. Depends on number in your household (that depend on you) and where in the US you are.

Even a part-time job can suffice (if worked many hours).... can also get a co-sponsor - you have time so you're not necessarily up a creek..

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to say I would be happy to help any woman who would like to meet and see if we get along, I am a single, normal guy in the NYC area and born in a small town and I think it is crazy what the gov't is doing so I want to do whatever I can to help. I don't want sex or money or anything, just friendship. I was not sure where I should post this so please feel free to post it in appropriate places for me.

Please email me:

xxxssw22@yahoo.co.uk

I am from here but I thought it was cool to have a UK address.

in "The U.S. Versus John Lennon." After John finally

received his Green Card following the whole

deportation scandal, a reporter asked if he held any

sort of grudge against the immigration service. "No,"

John replied, "I think that time wounds all heels."

Thanks,

TJ
