Early/walk-in Biometrics appointment in Nashville, TN?

I FINALLY got my biometrics appointment in the mail today, and the appointment isn't for another 2+ weeks. I'm already tired of waiting so long, and was thinking about trying for an early/walk-in biometrics appointment next week. I know this varies by office whether or not they allow it, but I was just wondering if anyone had any experience doing an early appointment in the Nashville, TN office.

Thanks!

There's an ASC in Nashville for fingerprinting and stuff, but they don't do interviews there. Memphis does the interviews.

Thanks! Looks like only one person tried and were unsuccessful. I think I'll just try anyway if I can find a ride.

If it's close to you, why not try right? It can't hurt! Good luck!

I just did an early walk-in around 1030am CT today at the Nashville office. It was a success!

That is awesome, thank you!! Did you have to wait at all or was it not very busy at all?

When i went there it wasn't busy at all. There's only about less than ten people there and some of them were there for other reasons (info pass etc) other than biometrics. I turned in the appointment letter to the guard and he asked 'you know you're not scheduled for today right', and i replied yes and explained why i went early (I was scheduled for 23rd but i am traveling next week for work). I actually printed out my flight itinerary as a proof but he didn't really look at it. It took me about 20 minutes (from entering the office to getting everything done) and i didn't have to wait at all.

Nashville office is pretty small (comparing to Atlanta one), and I think USCIS don't really assign many cases to them. There's only three computers/cameras for biometrics, and i only saw one lady working on biometrics today. It is not a field office and doesn't hold interviews and stuff, so i don't think it would ever get very busy. In Nov 2013 I went to Atlanta office for my AOS biometrics walk-in and it was a much larger office and very busy (i think the computers and fingerprint reader there were also better). So i had to wait about an hour until all people with appointments get their biometrics done. But again, i dont think it will happen in Nashville office. If you don't live that far from Nashville you should definitely give it a try. I drove two and half hours from Knoxville to there :-0

That's much more convenient! The office is right next to the airport and Air force national guard base and it's hard to miss.

any update for 2019? I want to know if I still can do walk-in right now? Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

Instead of resurrecting an expired, stale three (3) year old thread, who's last poster has not been active in over (3) years...why not start your own new thread?

Incidentally, a quick review of recent threads on the topic would likely reveal that the walk-in ASC drop-in tactic was the thing to do a in the recent past. Now, due to the inundating flood of people getting visas and needing to "give their biometrics" sometimes it works and often times it

doesn't work at many ASC offices. The walk-in availability may more depend on the appointment schedule for that day.

While you are working on your AOS, do yourself and everybody else that uses the VJ forum a big favor and :time: The data helps keep the VJ stats relevant.

Good luck on your immigration journey.
