Ok guys. Here is the situation. I'm going through VCS and I have my case pending since Feb. 13th. It was last touched on Feb. 22nd. I don't know if I will be asked for an RFE or not but I applied for the case to be processed at the Bulgarian Consulate in Sofia. I'm an International Student here and a graduating senior, therefore I have an expiration date of my visa as being May 30th 2007. Now I really don't know what to do. If it's going to take forever to get an NOA2, should I change to the Romanian Consulate (it's the closest one to Moldova). Or maybe I should just wait and still hope for Bulgaria. Or should I wait 'till it gets to Bulgaria and have them transfer the information to Romania? and if i do, how do I provide the new consulate with a new adress and phone number and all that?

I want to cry. Seriously :(

Where in SE asia is Bulgaria?

I would ask this question is some other region of the forum.

It's in Eastern Europe..I dont understand how these forums work. I give my posts a name and they are weirdly associated with different totally irrelevant forums. Might sound a little retarded but I serioudly dont know how forums work. I was never a member of anything before and this is the first time i'm using them.

Hi kinzazza,

it's all good, :) don't feel stupid we all did a good share of "stupidity" on this forum. I know I did... here is what you should do, post all your K-1 related issues in K-1 Forum, then Consulate forum after you get your NOA2. Some of the forum is very specific to the people in each region, like some of them here are from southeast asia and AU. I'm a little bit confused, are you the poster is a beneficiary? Your husband/wife is USC?

If you're here already, why would you want to file for K-1? Why don't you go for the AOS after marriage? Sorry for the confusion if there is any...

Thanks

:) We filed for K-1 because I'm finishing up college in Bulgaria. Being a Moldovan citizen I have a Bulgarian visa that's expiring on May 30th. My hubby is a USC yes. He's a Maine resident so we filed at VCS...So no, I'm not in the US right now though i've been there for 4 times so far...The problem i'm having is the uncertainty of leaving the processing of the documents to Bulgarian or Romanian Consulate since I've no clue when i'm gonna receive my NOA2 :( so there :'(

Must post this in K-1 forum :) I'm not sure where they will forward your I-129F package to, Bulgaria or Romania, but I thought they usually will forward it to your country of origin. Either way, good luck, the NOA2 will be sent to your USC in Maine.

Thank you :)

Well the reason I filed for Bulgaria was me studying here, therefore physically being here for 2 more months. Romania is the consulate where moldovans are getting their visas processed since the consulate from Moldova does not issue K-1 visas :) we're a weird country :-P
