Hi everyone, I seem to progress through the different forum topics here as my journey goes along...

To keep it short:

I (the petitioner) sent in my wifes AOS/IV packets to NVC,

never got any kind of contact and within basically 2 weeks my wife got an email saying that her interview had been scheduled in the Rio de Janeiro consulate.

I have received no information on this, when I go on to check on the ceac website it states that its "ready" and to wait for the appointment letter (which she has only received an email).

My question is: Am i missing something? I feel like there should be some sort of paperwork or something I (as the petitioner) need to complete. So far the only instruction we have from the interview email is for her to schedule her medical (which she has) and thats it.

NOA1- August 7th 2015 ^_^

TSC to PSC- November 10th 2015 :huh:

LOCAL OFFICE- December 2nd 2015 :o

NOA2- February 25th 2016 :D

NVC Stage:

Physical letter received at home address March 17th 2016 (away on business trip)

DS-261 Completed- March 18th 2016

AOS Fee Paid- March 18th 2016

IV Fee Paid- March 26th 2016

IV Application Completed- March 30th 2016

IV and AOS packages sent- May 19th

Interview appointment date received via e-mail- June 2nd (10 business days? how is that even possible?!)

Interview set for June 20th (super short notice!)

VISA DENIED at interview but followed up over email :cry:

VISA ARRIVED 6/30/2016 with no notice of approval over email :pop:

POE Fort Lauderdale 8/15/16 Went smoothly and she's home! :dance:

I have heard that cases from Brazil are getting auto expedited. You got blessed. Al the best.

There's no paperwork to complete just prepare fr your interview. Make sure you have all your originals of the copies you submitted to NV. Since you just sent you probably have updated AOS. Get your evidence and whatever else. Run to get your medical and go get approved.

No your case was expedited like Dwheels said. It caught me and my wife by surprise too. NVC informed us it was because of the Olympics. So just take all of the original documents and the ones you sent to the The National Visa Center.

So your interview is the 20th. I know a woman who's having her immigrant visa interview the same day. Mine is the 17th. Next week!
