Congratulations! How many copies of your Birth Certificate did they ask for? For us it was 2 copies even though the instructions said 1 copy. This was also true with Cenomar.

cenomar? do we need cenomar? I haven't seen cenomar as part of the requirements in the NVC website.

Yes. If you don't bring one expect to get a 221g during the interview.

NVC hasn't nothing to do with embassy requirements.

Follow the embassy instructions letter:

MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE (if applicable). For Philippine marriages, it must be issued by the PSA on security paper (not from the Local Civil Registry Office). You may call the PSA Information Center at (632) 737-1111 to inquire about securing a marriage certificate or visit their web site at http://www.census.gov.ph

You have to go by the list NVC gave you. I found this, it appears NVC only wants a copy of your marriage certificate (from PSA):

https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Supporting_documents.html

If you are married, you must obtain an original (or certified copy) of your marriage certificate.

  • You must submit a photocopy of your marriage certificate to the NVC.
  • You must submit an original (or certified copy) and a photocopy of your marriage certificate to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate at the time of your interview. (Do understand this is generic instructions, no other country has CENOMAR except the Philippines)
