Hello!

I'm curious about others who filed their I-130's in April. I sent my documents to the Chicago Lockbox and my case was routed to Nebraska. My case was officially accepted April 26 and I received the official e-mail and receipt number the 29th, however, I never received anything in the mail. My case status still just says officially received. What should I expect to happen next???

Thanks in advance!

Try to check the status of your case at least twice a week. it'll take upto 5mons to get approve. It's okay even you didn't get NOA1 for as long as you have the receipt number your fine.

I got mine approved for 1 month and 1day after uscis received my case.

I'm also an April filer, sent to the Chicago lockbox on 4/7 and assigned to NSC. They received it April 11th and I got an email and text but also received a letter in the mail about a week later. It was one page of exactly the same info in the email, so I agree, you're good as long as you have the receipt number!

Cessa, was your I-130 approved in one month?? Congrats!! Were you filing AOS?

Did you also call the service center, and what did you ask? I feel like it's just waiting and assuming they are working on it, but let us know if you have any tips! ;)

Yes, I was surprised and blessed they approve it so fast. I didn't actually call Nebraska service center, I just keep on checking my case status online. I'm done with my AOS and IV. Now, I'm waiting for cc and interview date. Hope I'll get schedule soon.

Tip: once your case approved, call NVC at least twice a week to get case number so you could start even without the actual approve letter. ??

God bless us all?

Hi, I know this post was from a month ago, but just in case, if you didn't put U.S address you're never going to get anything in Costa Rica or any other country abroad. This happened to me thankfully I was able to catch on time, I was never told that it had to be a U.S address and not my actual address abroad, so if by any chance you put an address abroad, correct it by calling USCIS.
