My Fiancee Just called NVC today and they didn't receive our case yet. It's been 9 days since NOA2. Do you know how long it take for NVC to receive our case? They told us the average time between NOA2 and the NVC receipt is 25 days. When is a good time for me to call them again? Thanks you so much for your help???

Today is 54 days after my noa2 approval. I am still waiting on California to mail my application to the NVC. I was told by USCIS last week the more I call or request information it slows the process. Mind you I only started to question after 35 days of nothing.

It's very frustrating to see people that started after me already having interviews.

Be ready to wait, but surprised if it happens quickly.

Jan. 28, 2016: mailed the I-129F application

Feb. 1, 2016 arrived to the lockbox NOA1

Feb 4, 2016 check cashed

Feb. 8, 2016 Signed return receipt arrived

April 7, 2016 Case was approved NOA2

Aug. 5, 2016 was issused a new NOA2, the first one was never sent and it took 4 months to find and issue a new one

Aug. 17, 2016 arrived to NVC FINALLY!!!!

Wait at least two - three weeks to start calling the NVC they usually take their time. Be patient ??

Something is definitely wrong. It shouldn't take this long. Did you speak to a supervisor about this? ?

On May 13 I emailed my research request to the NVC, I have had no response.

On May 20 I did a inquiry on USCIS, on the 23rd I received an email that my file was in the middle of the final review to me mailed. So i was confused how can it be in a final review if already approved. So I called last Tuesday and was told that if they see that I am making too many inquires they will slow the process because they have to stop what they are doing and reply to my inquires.

I have only followed the guidelines, that seem to have been thrown out the window at this point.

I called NVC again today and still nothing. They said it can take 60 days for them to arrive now. I have not spoke to a supervisor, but think it's time.

My approval is only valid until Aug. 6th, so they need to get a move on it.

If you want any info from them, call. The email will take ages to be replied. I sent an email to them June last year and received a reply in December, by then I was already in the us. Useless.

Try calling at least 2 weeks after noa2, a few days is not long enough for the case to get in the system. They say 45 days if I'm not mistaken. Take a deep breath and wait a little more.

They say if our case is on the way to the NVC then our status in USCIS website will change from " case was approved " to " case was sent to department of state " , is it correct ?

When the tsa dealt with the petitions, they used to update the case status when the case was sent to the nvc, csc doesn't do that

I don't completely understand. Sorry ?

In the past there were more than one service center dealing with i129f petitions. One of them, Texas service center, when adjudicating cases, would update the online case status when the case approved was sent to the nvc. As of late March 2015, all i129f petitions are being sent to the California service center, cases adjudicated at this center won't update anymore after approval.

So, no, you won't know if your case was sent to the nvc. You'll need to call them and find out.
