What do I need to do if I did not fill tax returns for last 3 years because I was a full time student and I did not have any income as I didn't work? What are my options?

I graduated this month and I have my job letter and I start working in next 3 weeks.

Since you didn't provide any additional information, I had to look at your profile to see that you are on a CR1 timeline, I agree with the above poster. You have no income therefore you need to find a sponsor to provide proof of support. You are at least a year away from providing adequate proof for yourself having enough income to qualify. There may be other things to consider but let's start with that.

Sorry about that ? But yes I was getting worried they might ask me to still do my taxes or something so wanted to ask early on incase I might have to do something :) and thanks!!?

You still l have to fill up the 1-864 with a letter stating you were in school the past 4 years and find someone else who can also help support your other half

Thanks!? That is what I m planning to do and notarize a letter stating I was a student for last 4 years.

Hi,

For your I-864, you will need to file a signed statement that you did not have to file federal income tax returns for the last 3 years because your income was under the reporting requirement.

Since you will not meet the income requirement for the I-864, you will need a Joint Sponsor who does meet the requirements to file a separate I-864.

Best of luck.
