Was wondering if someone could shed some light on how long it takes to actually get my EAD in the mail?

On May 3rd my EAD and Travel Petition were approved, 3 days later I got an I-171 in the mail saying the travel petition was approved and I should get something in the mail.

Online my EAD says "New Card being Produced" but I have not gotten anything about it in the mail.

I called today and talked to someone who said there was an administration issue with my card that it was missing info but it's been fixed but he said he has no idea how long it will take for me to get.

What is the normally time frame from status change to card in the mail? Any help?

Thanks

I am going through the same thing. My case was approved april 30(ead) and may 2(ap). I got the update may 11 that my name was updated for ead and was approved for ap. I called last Fridayto say I did not request a name change and was told there was an an administrative error and that my address was missing. He said it was there while we were talking and confirmed it with me. He told me to wait for three weeks for my card to arrive. Based on a 2012 release, my case should have been reviewed within 5 business days (https://www.uscis.gov/news/uscis-expedite-review-certain-cases-affected-specific-administrative-inaccuracies) but I have not seen or gotten any update so I am waiting for 9am to call to find out if there are any additional updates.

By the way, even though my ap was approved I did not receive an approval letter.

My case status was changed on May 12th for I765 "Card is being produced" afterward no update to my case. I tried to call USCIS they told me card is in production and you should receive within 30 days.

I was told 30 Days also, but I was hoping that some people that have gone through this process would give some input on the timelines that it took for them.

Just find it odd that I was told there were administration issues and that was why it was delayed, but had been resolved and I should get it soon. They couldn't tell me what the issue was or what info was missing.

All I want is something that states that its approved so I can tell the company that has a job offer for me its all good... But I have nothing that proves its completed and I am worried that if it drags out they may pull the job offer.

Oh ok I called on Friday evening and I explained about my situation and they told me to give me a call back after 30 days , if you don't receive another update

I pleaded my case on Friday asking what I could do as I could potentially lose a job because of the delay. They said there is nothing I can do other than wait. The employer can't even check using e-verify because the card hasn't been issued so It's like we are stuck in limbo.

I posted this on a different topic/ threas AOS March 2016 filers. I just wanted to share that you guys are not alone. I

As I have posted previously, our EAD case update cameon May 23 and said that on May 21 itwas sent for production. We atill dont have it or any new updates as of today. Also We gave USCIS a call on Friday 27, we were told it wasnt mailed. Today June 1, we called and we got a response that it was mailed on the 21st (WHAT???!!) of course I dont believe it. The officer was getting annoyed told us that he's been getting the same thing from everyone today that there-is-a-job-waiting-so-i-need-the-ead , line. Im like,, of course that is true for most of the people here!!!! Arrgh im so annoyed. There is no rhyme and reason to the timelines apparently. It happens when it wants too. Keep being patient as I am losing it really.:(dont see the point of this online updates anymore!

I just don't understand in this day and age that there is not a downloadable version to help people till the actual card shows up....

It's almost a disgrace to dangle the approval in front of you but have such delays on receiving the card itself. Surely the pivotal point is the approval. That means all checks have been carried out on health, security, financial, bona fide marriage (if applicable) etc.

The card is just the physical proof you can carry around with you. Essentially you are an LPR in all other purposes as electronically your details have been rubber sealed with a big ??.

Why then are you expected to keep your life on hold for a rectangular piece of plastic is beyond me and some serious revisions need to be looked at within USCIS. I think it's the same when it comes to the EAD/AP.

Well this morning I made a phone call to the Customer Service Tel Number and asked the rep that answered the call to escalate the call to second level.

Once I had the second level rep on the phone we walked through everything.

I asked why I only received an I-797 Notice of Action for my Travel Document but not one for my EAD and yet they were approved on the same day. He said that I should have received one for each case and that was odd. I was put on hold and when he came back I was told that there seemed to be an issues with the EAD Process. It was sent on May 3rd to the Print Process and then on May 3rd it also was sent back saying there was an Error or Missing info. I was told that normally they would resend it back to the Print Queue but for some reason they didn't do that with my case.

Based of this he has put in a Expedited Service Request and that I will get notice of this request for my EAD with in 15 days, he also said that I should based off this get an I-797 Notice of Action in the mail for my EAD and this will be good enough to hand to potential employers until my actual documents arrive in the mail.

So now I hope that in the next 15 days I get something regarding the EAD that will allow me to show the company that its all approved and I won't lose this job offer.

I will keep everyone posted on what happens next.
