Hi

We just got our case number after inquiring at NVC via mail and it was already sent to US manila embassy last May 16. I'm now wondering if I should wait for USEM to mail me or proceed to scheduling interview as i have been reading a lot of forums like this. Thanks in advance!

Hi Cristina

Thanks for the guide. I want to clear did you wait for the Manila US embassy to email you or notify you that you can now schedule interview?

Or you just schedule it right away after you receive your case number?

NO!! Do NOT wait for any mail from the embassy, everything for the visa process is online.

You have your MNL# it is ROCK n ROLL time!!

Pay your visa fee at BPI, schedule your interview, complete your medical ...

They're right. Once you have MNL case, you can already schedule for an interview. Just print out your appointment letter and bring it to the embassy at the time of your interview. Sometimes, they also ask for that appointment letter during your medical exam in St. Luke's, like in my case.

Is this also true for IR1/CR1 visas? We also just got our NVC case number today (MNL#) via email and we went online and submitted the DS-261 online and paid the $120 Affidavit of Support (AOS) fee online today, but the NVC site says the next steps are to physically mail the I-864 (Affidavit of Support) packet and supporting documents to Portsmouth, NH. Should we schedule the interview now and go to St. Lukes right away even before they've received the I-864 packet in NH? Also, does the IV fee for an IR1/CR1 visa need to be paid in the Philippines (e.g. at BPI) as well, or can that be paid online directly just like the AOS fee was? Thanks.

Hi Guys,

is this a problem?

I've already schedule my interview but the DS-160 that appear in my appointment letter was the one that I created last December for a tourist visa. I did not push through to the application as my fiance said she will file the k1 in January. what should i do?

No problem, simply bring the confirmation page from completing your NEW DS-160 to the interview. No worries. ;)
