Just got my biometrics appointment letter. It is dated march 28th, but I have a touch on march 29th. So, is it that we have a RFE on the way?

Im not sure there is a correlation between touches and RFE or approval, some get lots of touches-some only a few. I remeber with the I-129F we did not get much. We got touched today for the I-485 and I-765 which may be associated with the biometerics.

Looks like we are in the same boat! We sent and they arrived one day after yours: March 27 and March 29.

Doesn't the status change ont he USCIS site to say a RFE is pending when they send one? Maybe march 29 was the date they mailed the biometrics letter or jsut put you back in the pile with the rest of us? :P

A touch doesn't always mean anything, a touch just means someone scanned your file. I just guessed that my touch last monday was my biometrics letter cause it was the date of the letter that i received.

When you get an RFE they email you telling you one is on the way. so if you got a touch they werel ooking/moving around your file.

hello, i guess i can finally join this group, i think

march 26 mailed

march 28 delivered

april 2 NO WORD/NOTHING

just for clarification, everybody mailed it to:

US Citizenship & Immigration Services

PO Box 805887

Chicago, IL 60680-4120

????

and everybody sent it certified so that you can track it at usps.com???

and does DELIVERED on the usps.com site mean that someone actually rec'd it, or just that the mail carrier left it outside???

and for "touches" they use the email we put on the I-485???

also, annoyingly, i have two more questions:

i just realized I forgot to send two additional pictures, apart from the two sent for the G-325, with the EAD/I-765. What should I do?? Do I need to make an infopass appointment or just hope the two additional fotos aren't necessary??

also, if my husband's I-94 expires on April 5th, it doesn't matter right, because we already married, whether or not they receive the AOS before or after the 5th. But they probably received it right, oh man, I don't know. arrgghh

4/28/06 sent I-129 package to NSC

5/1/06 NOA1

6/10/06 case transferred from NSC to CSC

7/3/06 rec'd IMBRA

7/11/06 touched - IMBRA rec'd by CSC

9/1/06 touched - email NOA2 - approved!

9/21/06 NVC letter stating package sent to Caracas

10/5/06 & 10/14/06 DHL website confirms CCS rec'd packages (hopefully one of them was mine)

12/10/06 Interview - passed

1/5/07 arrival to US

1/27/07 marriage

putting together AOS package - confused about medical - translated personal immunization record myself, went to ACS, paid fee, got documents in a sealed envelope "DO NOT OPEN"

3/26/07 mailed AOS & EAD to PO BOX

3/28/07 delivered

4/23/07 Biometrics

just that the mail carrier left it outside???

No it is really delivered! but you did make me laugh!

Also-don't worry about the photos just yet. If they want a second set, they will send you a RFE telling you how to submit them.

You will be able to register your case numbers from the NOA1s witht eh USCIS site and check there for touches.

Lastly, don't worry about the 1-94 expiration. You are now officially in "adjusting status" status.

Guys, Have you heard about any1 walking into the BIO/FP office on a date EARLIER than the one mentioned on the notice and was let in ? I have heard it for citizenship based cases...people walked in at least a week earlier and got FP done. Shaved off some time from the process. Let me know.

I would just wait and go for the biometrics when you get the letter, when you go for the biometrics doesn't really speed anything up.
