Hi, the beneficiary received the 221g document with them requesting more evidence for domicile back in March. The issue now is that they held the beneficiary's passport as the process will be quick.

The problem is that we will be going to the USA to resolve the domicile requirement. The beneficiary and I will be there for the Weekend.

Will the US border allow the beneficiary entry with an expired version of the Canadian passport plus the letters from the NVC?

The beneficiary's valid Canadian passport is with the NVC in Montreal and doesn't expire until 2023.

I'm the petitioner (American Citizen)

Thanks

No the CBP doesnt have to let someone in with an expired passport. If you are flying the chances are pretty much nil. You can request the passport back from Montreal however.

Domicile is a petitioner issue. So the beneficiary isnt required to do anything.
