Hello everybody! I am a new user here. I just got my case number,

1. Do I need to submit documents to NVC for K1 Visa like birth certificate, Affidavit of Support, etc. or just bring them on my interview?

2. Regarding the Affidavit of Support, who should fill up the form?

Thank you!

Here's a timeline for K-1 and typical responses for each stage: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow

And there's this: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

...which I should've posted as my first link. You need to look through both these links. :) good luck!

Thank you! Who can fill up the Affidavit of Support? Can the petitioner file it herself?

1. The US citizen has to submit a copy of their birth certificate when they file for the K1 for their fiancee. How else will they know you're a US citizen? So did you already submit it?

2. Affidavit of Support: The US citizen who is sponsoring the applicant fills it out and signs it, and if you have a joint sponsor, the joint sponsor also fills out a form. You submit them together, according to the instructions you receive.
