Do you have any particular basis for your fears? A passport would be a good thing to add to your list. I always bring a paper copy of all relevant documents for both of us and copies of everything on a thumb drive as well as have access to them on the internet.

Well if she lied about something in her application and they found out about it. Or she committed some heinous crime while on her AP. I carry ALL my important information on my jump drive. If I lose my passport I can at least get my Number, credit cards information on who to call in case of theft or loss, copy of drivers license etc...get it?

I just got back Philippines on Sunday and was worried cos i forgot my marriage certicate! so i was packing darkies at the airport! however my husband stood with me in the NON US citizen line(even though my husband is a US citizen) and you must fill out the WHITE form cos no one has no idea there but i filled out both just incase but its the white one for sure. It was a breeze, both my husband and i went up & they didnt ask for any ceritcates. Just passport and my travel permit! You get taken to another room and processed there. He only asked me what my father's name was and my mothers name was. I suggest if you have connecting flight make sure you leave a good gap as we had to push back ours due to being stuck in the immigration line!

Have fun in Canada and hope this info helps you out.

I was wondering the answers to the questions asked in this topic also. I noticed that all travelers have their spouses with them. Is it necessary for the spouse/us citizen to go with the AOS traveler?

No, you do not need your spouse or partner to be with you however if they are, i suggest they go with you as support and any questions that they may ask it helps with them being there.

Hi all.

WE just got back after a week trip to Canada, ok what I brought with me was the two AP forms, marriage cert, the NOA of i485 and my wifes DL because stupid me didnt book the ticket under her maiden name(which was not a big deal, took 5min longer so they can verify her last name through her DL) anyways.. step 1 checked in, you need to ask for a white form at the airline counter and of course the blueform under the blue form your spouse declare you as one family name..step 2 i asked the person who directs people to go in the US line or other line, I told him she is with me and does not have a US passport or greencard, he told me it was fine...cut a lot of time by asking wow the foreign line was long...anyway...gave our passports and the two AP papers with her passport as well as the white card( its i believe another i94)...anyway...step 3 he sent us to the backroom sat for about 15min it could have been quicker but he was being bothered by other people asking him other questions, he called our name gave us a stamp in her passport and have a nice day no questions...i thought they kept one AP form but gave them both back to us.along with another i94
