Ulysses 31 - a space opera version of the Odyssey and The Mysterious Cities of Gold

omg u also watched ulysses 31?! that cartoon was WTFPWNED!! it was awesome, very weird.. but cool..

what else.. Mexico was big on anime in the last 20 years... Mazinger Z (in the US it was Tranzor Z).. Dragon Warrior.. Saint Seya or Knights of the Zodiac, Remi (Ienakiko), Josephine the Whale (Kujira no Hosefuiina).. The Transformers!, Samurai Pizza Cats

also US cartoons had a golden age.. Thundercats, Jayce and the wheeled warriors, Mask, Cops, GI-Joe, Bravestar, and the ol' skool He-man and Flash Gordon (animated series, not live action).. Voltron.. ahh..

I have that show on DVD - the animation is a little creaky but there are some good stories in there. Its also quite 'adult' for a kids show - there's one episode which features the Sirens from Greek Mythology who promise Ulysses a "wealth of exquisite delights".
