I'm the Beneficiary Female and I paid for all my medical and immigration fees. But because I didn't have work authorization I did it by selling all my purrtty things=(. But I'm happy I did it because he paid for 10+ airfare trips to Canada to see wee lil me.

I can't really remember.... I guess what ever we had to pay for in USD my wife paid for, and whatever we had to pay in GBP, I paid for. It wasn't important though cos by the time we got engaged we didnt think of our money as mine and hers, but ours :)

We are sharing costs, the Petitioner Male does make more money so he wants to pay for more. I will pay for items on my end (Canada). He has paid for flights, and hopefully an upcoming one at Easter for me to go visit him in VA. It is going to be pretty hard to try to save a few dollars I can see to have some sort of wedding that will be decent but small, especially when you are not sure when to plan for since paperwork won't actually get submitted for another week or so. Here is hoping to a fall wedding in the park.

I've been paying for things on my end, and he's been paying for thing on his.

He paid for photos, and copies and postage to send all his papwerwork to me.

I paid for photos over here, and endless copies, and the filing fee.

I'm sure when he goes for his intrview, he'll pay the service fee there as well as the medical exam.

As for flights & hotels and stuff... each time we've seen each other, he's been footing the bill. But I'm paying for my next trip over to see him.

Money's pretty tight for both of us right now, but we're doing whatever we can to make this work.

I also think more important than who is paying for what, is the fact he's working every day to try and pay off his debts and even save up enough that he'll be able to contribute here even when he's waiting to be able to work. And the fact that he's paying an even bigger price: he's uprooting himself, leaving everything and everyone he knows to live in Utah, of all places.
