i never got an reason for denial of my original K1 application

and Congressmen are not much of a help / i tried but all they could do was get the same answers i was getting / ""working on it""

However when the CR1 came up for the last interview the Senator's office did send a letter asking for it to be approved

Reapply and ask for this help from Conressman asking him/her to send letter saying you wish them to be present at a wedding celebration

I'd say try again and try to address the reason for visit more directly (we sent my husband's mother a digital proof of the wedding invitation along with an email telling her about teh plans and letting her know that there are several places for her to stay in the area-- with us, with my family etc).

But if that doesn't work out for you, we did have a good time with my cousin (who may as well be my sister, who is my best friend and would have been my maid of honor but she lives in Morocco for work and couldn't make it)-- she called in on IMO (Skype and Facetime are blocked in Morocco) and her ex-boyfriend (who is a good friend of mine) carried her around on a tripod throughout the whole reception! It was nice--would have been nicer to have her there in person of course-- but she got to talk with a lot of friends and family she hadn't seen in a while, got to see the ceremony and all the major events at the reception-- she even toasted along with the rest of us We had the photographer get some creative shots of us all together as well-- can't wait to see how they turn out.

Thank you for your advice! The Congressman has advised they will send their letter, with our supporting documents to the Consulate in Istanbul. So, fingers crossed, the interview is May 17th so we'll see what happens.

He doesn't, but as residents' of our district, the Congressman can reach out and write a letter to try to assist.
