Good to know that we have a community who is always willing to sacrifice decency and civilized behavior to stand up for Felon's Rights

I guess the way I look at it is because I used to know a criminal psychologist that worked in a prison. I would hear all about it from her(yes, her...probably the most dangerous job in the world) on how she would try and help these people. Sometimes - she will end up seeing them coming back later. Sometimes - they made it outside. In either case, she felt that even if you can rehabilitate one person it is worth it. Some of her stories had a huge impact on me - until that point I assumed everyone in prison is just an awful person that has no chance of ever being normal. But that's wrong. Prison should not be a punitive measure. It's meant to take dangerous people off the street only for as long as they are dangerous and try to give them the opportunity to start a new life afterwards(well, except for lifers obviously, or those on death row). I have no problem with someone that served their time and got released, being able to vote. No problem at all.

Exactly, excons should not have the right to vote, because they might not vote the way you like. Hey, why not just limit voting to land owners? You know, like in the good old days of yore.

Fair percentage probably would vote the way I like. Kind of insensitive tho to refer to the days when women couldnt vote as the good ole days. Thought we were past that kind of sexist thinking. Nowdays interns get fully utilized in Politics, just look at how our last democrat let his intern have full use of the oval office.

I love playing this on my electric guitar

Cool.

This one is probably my favorite version of one of their most well known songs. Love what the orchestra adds to it.

BTW, the reason I brought them up even though it might seem off topic, is because Jacque's Elvis post reminded me of this:

also probably won't surprise you, i loathe the black album and every song on it. i was briefly excited re: st. anger but then - that album really sucked too.

you might catch me watching youtubes of metallica with the mighty mighty glenn danzig (hail)/mistfits, but that's probably just pesky nostalgia.
