i am petitioning for my husband, i recieved a letter that the papers were recieved in the dominican concul on Arpil 14, 2016. I have seen on some of the timelines posted that papers that have been recieved later than my date have gotten their interviews already and i still have not recieved an email letting me know when my interview will be. Is their a number i can call to find out? i have been calling several numbers and no one can tell me anything

I can't actually tell you anything about your case, I just wanted to suppost you with what I have

i have different scenario, cause i'm applying for adjustment of status here in the US

but my docs were received on april 4th, and there is still no responce

and some guys whose docs were delivered on april 16th already have a responce

it's very difficult to wait, but sometimes it's the only thing that you can actually do

and it's actually really different from case to case

but there probably should be some number you can call and ask for the info

i'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

for spousal visa NVC set the interview then forward your case to the embassy. so my question is did the letter say we are done processing your AOS and IV and will send to your embassy once the interview is set? when you call NVC they told you there is no interview set? check the CEAC website and what does it say?

ok so I don't think they sent you a email saying its in the country at the embassy I believe the email you received was saying your case has been completed waiting for interview. but im not sure , you can re read the email and see if its says what im saying. and every embassy is different for example its taking Ethiopia 7 months to set an interview rather then another country where its taking a month. have you joined case complete to interview thread? that can help you figure out when your interview will be

If I'm not mistaken, I believe in DR you now schedule the interview yourself via ustraveldocs. Have you tried creating an account on there? I would suggest going through the posts on the DR portal for instructions relevant to the DR processes, since every consulate is slightly different.

That is for K-1, at least. For I-130 petitions, the NVC schedules the interview (Dominican Republic). If you have not received an email or letter in the mail regarding your interview, I would call the NVC and inquire about your interview date (if they already sent your case to the DR, then more than likely, you already have an interview date ... and it is probably soon, so call as soon as possible ... have your case number ready as well as information about the beneficiary (eg date of birth, full name, etc) when you call.

Secondly, you can check the interview appointments list for the DR.

It lists scheduled interviews up to a certain date. You should be able to do a search for your case number and see when your interview is. I think it only goes up to May 10 on this list with a new one to be posted later on. If you case is not on this list, then it tells you that your interview is no earlier than May 10.

Call the NVC for interview date. If you have a date, and it is soon, and you have not received a letter (or the beneficiary has not received a letter (P4 letter)), then contact the embassy and request it to be sent to you via email so that you can get it printed and used for the medical exams, etc. and get things prepared.

I know this because I submitted 3 I-130s and for all, the NVC scheduled the interview at the embassy for me .... but you will need to schedule an appointment at the VAC via ustraveldocs though.

yea because the day they let spouses set their own interview is the day we will try to put it in a holiday and stamp it on the American calendar haha.

I think you mean you received a letter from NVC stating that your case is complete and is now waiting for an interview to be set up. It has only been 8 business days since you received this letter. Please be patient. They are working on scheduling your interview for Santo Domingo. For CR1 visa in DR, you do not schedule you own interview. They will do it for you and let you know.
