I am a USC and we are using a lawyer. The lady who has our case had told us that in January (2016) we will get an interview set up within 60 days. But, that time has passed.... I called every month and earlier this month she says again that we have to wait another 60 days.... So frustrating. I don't want to have to start all over.

Have you contacted your senator for help? Is there a reason to why you have been waiting for over a year for an interview? Is there a ban going on?

If I had more details I probably won't be so frustrated. The lawyers employee said she well forward an email (from nvc) explaining the case. But I've been waiting for almost three weeks andiover called her every other day.

Interview Setup (Juarez MX).

My husbands I130 was approved June 09 2014, but we barley paid off the fees on Nov 21st 2014; will we get an interview setup in August??

Something is very wrong if you have had case complete for 1 1/2 years and heard nothing. Why can;t you call NVC yourself and find out. If you been waiting 1 1/2 years no way to say sure you will get a interview in August. Something is wrong.

You say you paid fees November 2014. When did you get Case Complete. Somehow I have a feeling a checklist was issued and it has not be tended to.

Call and find out now. NVC is open 7am to midnight eastern time.

Last time I called NVC I was told our case was terminated due to no contact since a year. Second, last time I contacted Juarez Embassy I was told they were unable to release info unless I was the lawyer. Third, the lawyers associate says everything is fine to just wait for her to get a response from the embassy. Fourth, I think its unfair if I have to restart and repay all the fees all over again. Also, What If, What If, the embassy is just Probably "backed-up"....

I'm going to call the lawyers office again, but the only question I politely ask is "Do you have any updates on our case?".

So your lawyer has done nothing for you and your case expired?? Demand to see everything your lawyer has done in regards to your case. Sounds to me like you got screwed. The embassy is not that backed up. Your lawyer dropped the ball big time. How long are you going to wait? Forever? My advise is, file again! Without a lawyer!

If I had found this community before I got a lawyer I'm sure things would have went different.

So, I did call the lawyers office, asked for an update, and asked if this really takes long; she gave me a reason. First, she said that she forgot to forward me the email exposing the hold up. Second, I was told that the embassy officers fill up their interview slots quickly. And, yeah.

She finally sent the email. And the priority date on the email reads - Priority Date: Sept 2014. The receipts back in 2013 read differently. Yet, it is my husbands name on the letter.

So, I'm sticking to the Sept 2014 priority date.

I still think your lawyer has messed things up. How long are you going to wait? you have already waited way too long. Ask for a copy of everything that your lawyer have received from uscis and nvc...

Priority date isn't really relevant when you file for spouse as a usc. You are not waiting like people with other visas that has a quota.. But with that said, no the date doesn't change

Call nvc again. Explain the situation. Ask where the case is now, still at nvc or embassy. If they still say it's terminated you need to fire that lawyer and start over. Nvc is still open I believe....call now.

USCIS case status is i130 approved June 09 2014. Ey, but I do have a CDJ2014****** number.

Go to the https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ and click on the Check Visa Status. See if it says AT NVC or READY.

Also click on the DS-261 and see if fee's were actually paid. The AOS documents and IV documents will have NA.

Your Priority Date means nothing. You are a US citizen right not a green card holder.
