Step 1: Select whether you are applying for a Nonimmigrant Visa or an Immigrant Visa.

After you select your trip purpose the pages that follow contain visa application information, Visa Application (MRV) Fee payment procedures and availability to schedule an appointment.

Is this a trick question?USA says K1 is a non immigrant visa but the next screen does not list K1 as a selection??

Any help would be appreciated

K1 visa is classed as a non-immigrant visa but is recognized as an immigrant visa. You must select Immigrant/Permanent Visa when selecting the option for K1 visa.

The K-1 is a non-immigrant visa, but it is a special one because it has immigrant intent. This is why K-1 visas are processed by the immigrant visa units of the consulates. The non-immigrant visa units handle visas such as tourist and other temporary visas
