Hey everybody... anybody here who could answer a few questions about the process for the K-1 in Frankfurt?

We are still in our early stages of the K-1 but I want to make sure I'm aware of everything i need to have before my interview and all.

- Do you have to bring NOA1 and NOA2 in original?

- They request original documents like Birthcertificate, military records, divorce certificates... do I have to provide these documents only for me as the beneficiary or do I also have to provide that from the petitioner?

- My fiance is military. So what should we provide for the affidavit of support?

- I read that they don't send you a letter in the mail but the packet 3 via E-Mail... are they sending that to my fiance since they don't have my e-mail address?

I guess I just want to be prepared lol... Hoping some Frankfurt filers are here for some support and to share their knowledge :D

Thank you!

We are pretty much at the same stage of the process right now with the only difference being, we are already married doing DCF through Frankfurt. I ll try to respond as best as I can though.

No, only yours not your spouses unless specifically asked for. So...YOUR bc, military records (if applicable), divorce decrees (if appl.) etc.

- My fiance is military. So what should we provide for the affidavit of support?

His proof of income (pay statement - as far as I remember my husband pulled them up on mypay.dfas.mil), tax transcripts (he can order those online through the IRS). Also while on active duty he only has to proof 100% of the poverty guideline instead of 125% and of course the affidavit itself, signed by him.

- I read that they don't send you a letter in the mail but the packet 3 via E-Mail... are they sending that to my fiance since they don't have my e-mail address?

Not sure about the K1 process there. Was wondering the same thing though since they also don't have my email address

I guess I just want to be prepared lol... Hoping some Frankfurt filers are here for some support and to share their knowledge :D

I am not familiar with the K1 but at least we are going through the same embassy :D and some parts are the same :) I hope things will go fast and smooth :)
