Hello Good evening,

I made $5k for 2015. I worked for 6 mos and stayed in the philippines for the half of the year. My dad will be my join sponsor to support my husband. My dad made $41k for the year 2015. He filed his tax together with my mom which she made $16k for the year 2015. They have my youngest sister a dependent. does my mom need to fill out the form I 864?

My older sister also lives with us but filed her own tax?

does she count as the member of the household?

Member of the household is the one that lives in the house with the join sponsor and petitioner right?

If your sister is a dependent you need to add her. It does not matter if she filed her own taxes if your father has her as a dependent. This goes into the calculation as to how many people your joint sponsor has to support.

Your good then with just your younger sister on there.

If you are going to be living there be sure to do the I864A. :)

At our interview they wanted an i864a from both my mom and dad. Part of why we got a 221g delay.

But yeah, you do an i864 and your dad.

Good luck

Yep, Dad and Petitioner submit I864 but Dad and Mom also should do an I864A as well.

On mine my mother was not sponsoring but in our 22G they asked for an I864A from her and they kept the one for my father.

Thank you :). I'm still worried about my income. I only made $5k in 2015.

My dad made $41k.

do you think that will be enough?
