yes you can, or you can wait until you become a USC

If you file now, when you become a USC, you will have to update your status change to immigration for your wife to change category

now as a LPR, she would be under the category F2A, the categories you mentioned are for spouses of USC

once you submit your citizenship certificate she will change category

3 years as LPR and married to their USC petitioner. Or 5 years as LPR.

Am sorry i don't understand @NRI I will get my citizen in next 8 months and I am filing for me now as LPR I will upgrade the category once I get my citizen, my question is will he get his citizen in 3 yrs after he comes here, like those who came wt IR-1/CR-1 directly. Thanks a lot

Okay then the soonest he can file is 3 years if he is still married to you and an lpr for 3 years. Otherwise he can file at 5 years just by being an lpr for 5 years.
