NEBRASKA AND TEXAS DOWN???

Hey guys, according to what I've been reading in some of posts the NSC and TSC has been shut down. I'm currently working on my I-129F packet, I was hoping to send it before friday, but now I DONT KNOW WHERE TO MAIL IT... Pleeease, someone help us!...

believe if your saying you live in Alaska go thru first Nebraska (double check)

They (Nebraska &/Or Texas Service Centers) are not 'shut down' - they are simply no longer processing I12F Petitions. You still mail to your corresponding Service Center - they will forward it to California Service Center (in these cases).

Sorry, but isn't that a little bit stupid? That would delay the whole process, we should be able to file it to CSC or VSC directly! USCIS!!!

By the way, We are from Alaska, do you know where are they going to foward our petition? (please don't say Cali)

@ charlyeldios,read the instsructions of the I129F it tells you exactly where to mail it to.

Yeah we filed to the Nebraska Service Center ourselves and they will foward it to the California Service Center,if you look at some of the people that filed in Nebraska for example in their time lines it says that is was farward to CSC.

So it really aint no big deal,mail it to where they want to to mail it to and all will be good.

Yes it's been decided, hands down, that it's stupid to have to file to Texas or Nebraska and have it forwarded but they have not changed the process yet. All 129F's that go to Nebraska and Texas get forwarded to California. I'd suggest that you move to the region of the country that is processed by Vermont Service Center, then file.

Unless you're filing for a CR-1 in Vermont which seems to be taking forever as compared to CSC.

Well, the thing is that we (Nebraska and Texas filers) are paying the same fee for a deficient process. And the people that filed to California is also affected, because the amount of paperwork that office will get will delay an already very slow process.

I dont care of the Cali people are affected that aint my problem.But yeah they have a big pile I guess...but if it works out faster hey why not.I guess they are prepaird for such an amount of work now more employees etc.

didnt feel like it at the time but looking back yes it went fairly well, thanks, best advice, read, read, read and do just exactly what they ask for, make it as neat and presentable as you can (then wait) NO SHORTCUTS do it right the first time and it (hopefully) wont get returned for more information good luck
