Reading some of these comments, maybe I didn't send enough info lol. In my situation, he and I are married (1/15/2016 TT) and I did send a few pictures of the wedding and a copy of plane tickets and marriage certificate. Do you guys recommend I send more info?

umm it's you're already married you cannot apply for a K1 visa. You need to go the CR-1 visa.

10/10/2015: I 129F Petition Sent to USCIS ||| 10/13/2015: I 129F Petition Delivered to USCIS ||| 10/16/2015: Received Email/Text NOA1 |||

10/19/2015: Received Hard Copy NOA1 ||| 11/10/2015: Case Approved on USCIS website NOA2 ||| 11/16/2015: Received Hard Copy NOA2 |||

11/24/2015: Petition Received at NVC ||| 11/24/2015: Case # Assigned at NVC ||| 11/27/2015: Case Leaves NVC ||| 11/30/2015: CEAC Status - Ready |||

12/01/2015: Case Delivered to Montreal ||| 12/05/2015: Received Hard Copy of NVC Case # Assignment ||| 12/09/2015: CEAC Status - Ready (Montreal logged Case)

Ah then I would edit your original post to reflect that. People will give different advise based on the visa you are applying for. If you are applying for a CR-1 (I 130) visa then including your marriage certificate is important.

K1 (I 129f) = you and your partner are NOT married (need to show proof of meeting)

CR-1 (I 130) = you and your partner are married (need to show proof of marriage)

EDIT to add: I see this was a hijack to the original topic, SMAlexander you might get better info if you create a separate topic about your situation
