Interview and Oath same day?

My wife has her citizenship interview scheduled for the 19th of next month. She is being told by some of her friends who went through the process that the oath can be taken the same day. When I look on this site it seems more like you have the interview and then the oath ceremony is scheduled for you in the coming month.

So which is it?

a few offices have same day oath, but not all, depends on the city and state

check at the immigration office if they offer same day oath ceremony

I've seen people on vj be squeezed in providing they pass same day. I think that it just depends on the location.

yes, and at the end of the ceremony they will hand you the citizenship certificate

They'll take the green card at th oath ceremony. You can travel with your green card and foreign passport after the interview and before the oath. After the oath you'll need a U.S. passport because you won't have a green card and because U.S. Citizens are required to enter and leave the U.S. With a U.S. Pasaport.
