The DS-230 now DS-260

I am pre- filling out the old DS-230 and need help with filling it out.

Part I

Items #1-7 Who's information should go here the petitioner or beneficiary?

Items # 8-13 I think i understand.

Items # 14-18 Who's information should go here the petitioner or beneficiary?

Items # 19--28 Who's information should go here the petitioner or beneficiary?

Items # 29-35 I this the Beneficiary info goes here?

Who signs Part I? Petitioner or Beneficiary?

And does it need to be the original signature? So this means i would have to have it mailed off?

Items # 36-39 and item # 45 Who's information should go here the petitioner or beneficiary?

Over all i know this form must accompany the IV information for the beneficiary, however it seems to me like there is some info needed from the petitioner. Hence where I'm a little confused some clarity will help.

It is the beneficiary who should be filling out the form ,

Any particular reason you're filling out DS230? AFAIK only DS260 is used now and that form is electronic so no wet signatures (only electronic) and no mailing it off to anywhere.

Keep a note that unlike the DS-230 the DS-260 requires every address since age 16 no matter how long.

Also the DS-230 just a prep now. The entire DS-260 form is online and you do not take the DS-230 to the interview.

The DS-230 has some of the same info the DS-260, filling it out helps me.

Can i put my stepson's name on the Ds-260 as traveling at a later date even thought i have not filed for him yet?

No. The visa type doesn't allow for derivatives and that section is for follow to join derivatives.
