I am currently in the process of finishing the documents for the K-1 Visa Petition, but at the same time my boyfriend in the Dominican republic is trying to get a visitors visa and has been speaking to lawyers about it, am I better off completing the paperwork and sending it while he is still in that process (I do not have his signature for the G325A and the letter of intent to marry) or should I wait to see if he can get a visitor visa so in the petition I can include his signatures on some papers and show more evidence of our relationship or send before he might get the chance of being here because it takes so long to process?

Why is he talking to lawyers, he has a criminal history?

I would file now, why wait?

So they can help him file for a visitor visa because he has to apply for that I can't do any of that. And I am only contemplating because I want to send in a petition that is more likely going to be approved.

Very simple process, no lawyer needed.

Using a lawyer for a visitor visa is a waste of money -- unless you know you have an ineligibility that will require a waiver. If not, it is a simple on-line application form and scheduling an interview. REally nothing a lawyer can do.
