Hello!

Here my situation: I am from Germany and I will be in the US as a tourist with the ESTA. Currently I am here on the J1 visa but have to go home in March for one week and then reenter the US with the ESTA. I am currently applying for a College here and I want to get the F-1 visa once I am in Germany for the week. However I cannot use the F-1 visa to reenter the US because it is not valid until August. So here my question: Is it possible to enter and exit the US on the ESTA as much times as I want when I already have an F-1?

Also, I want to get married. After the marriage, how long does it take to get the documents I have to fill out to get the green card and to be eligable to work? When will I be able to work? And where will I get those documents from?

Apart from the last option all 3 are non immigrant visa's. So yes there may be questions.

If you marry file and adjust takes up to 90 days to get work authorisation.

Would it be considered immigration fraud if OP obtains F1 visa with the future intention of marrying/adjusting (basically plans to immigrate to the US)?

Or would it be considered legal since the F1 is obtained with the intention of studying in the US and then eventually marrying and adjusting?

One immigrant visa is no different to any other in that respect, B or F.

It's okay to intend to immigrate in the future (on a different visa), but it's not okay to intend to immigrate on that F1 visa.

Ahh okay, thats good to know.

I don't plan on getting married anytime soon! That was just a general question. If it happens I would like to be prepared for it

Oooh, gotcha! So I guess your current concern is the non-immigrant visas.
