I filed and I-130 for my spouse and her daughter (4yr old). I sent both applications in the same package with two separate checks for $420 on the front. One check was cashed, the other was not.

I received the 797c in the mail today and it only lists my wife. I called the USCIS to check if they missed the form for her daughter and was told they would need to escalate the question and someone would contact me in 3-5 business days (was the end of the day and I was out of time, and plan to call again in the morning).

My question is, should both their names be on the 797c? Anyone have experience with this? Normal or do I need to hustle to make sure this doesn't delay things?

They need separate I-130s which you did. So that would mean two NOA1. Did you send a G-1145?

If only one check was cashed then only one I-130 was processed. And no both their names will not be on anything. It's two separate I-130's.

Ok. I thought so. It's early in the game. They received feb 2 and I did get an email/text confirmation on feb 9 and the snail mail today. But I never saw the other check cashed which made me wonder. I guess mistakes are made but I intentionally paper clipped the two checks in a way they were both visible and wrote I-130 and their name on it too.

My only thought before freaking out, haha, was that maybe since they are coupled together, everything would fall under the mother and the other would be cashed soon.

I'm definitely following up either way and thanks for your thoughts on this.
