Hi! Anybody here can tell me the way how to track a green card? My daughter came here with IR2. She migrated here November 22, 2015 and we have not received her Greencard yet. I am getting worried. I called USCIS and they did not help me locate the green card. They are asking me for the receipt number that starts with EOI or IOE. Something like that. Anybody can give me idea how to find that? I looked at the ELIS email I got and gave the receipt number for it and he said that was not he is looking for.

Nope, don't know if the number you need is there, just tossing ideas out there. Check the VISA in her passport? Do you have a copy of the immigrant data sheet that was attached to the DO NOT OPEN envelope? Any letters from USCIS since her arrival? What about letters or such from NVC during the AOS process there?

Is there an "A" number on her visa?

I received mine just last week. I came here September 2 2015 via st paul minneapolis airport. What I did is, I went to the nearest Immigration Office in my area and present the receipts (for the payment I made online for the ELIS2) and the Immigration officer provided to me the right IOE number for tracking it online or by calling USCIS again.

The last time I called USCIS (before I received my green card), the officer told me that there is delay of the green card process if you came in via St. Paul Minneapolis airport since the officers from that airport is not up to date of forwarding the necessary paperwork to USCIS.

Hope this will help.

Hi! Thank you guys! Thought about making an infopass to the nearest immigration office here. Unfortunately it says that there is no information appointment available. I have been checking it online the last 3 days and still cant make appointment. Ugh!

I don't know what use this information will do for you, but I had it squirreled away for a time like the one you have now.

Schedule an INFOPASS appointment through the following link:

https://infopass.uscis.gov/

Or here.

http://www.uscis.gov/news/fact-sheets/your-guide-infopass

InfoPass is a free service that lets you schedule an appointment with a USCIS Immigration Officer by using the Internet at any time of day or night. If you have an immigration issue that is best handled by a trained USCIS Immigration Officer, InfoPass will let you schedule your appointment online, instead of requesting it in person at your local USCIS office.

Hank,

FWIW for IR/CR-1/2 applicants, AOS is not a process ie Adjustment Of Status, but a form Affidavit Of Support. I-864, filing fee $120 (or more now).

AOS has many meanings during these adventures. For the process during the immigrant visa at NVC it is for support, the I-864... still AOS

For the K-1 and the CR/IR-1 the processes are all there.. just in different orders. Crazy, fun processes for sure. :)

Hope this helps.. I arrived in the US last dec 29. I paid the $165 immigrant fee a day before I flew to the US.. I tried to track my greencard but I don't have the IOE or the receipt number. I only received a payment confirmation from my email from pay.gov. I was worried but after reading from some people here in the forum, I learned that Uscis does not issue a receipt number anymore.. So, I did not mind tracking my greencard. Some people was issued a receipt number a couple of months ago but wasnt able to track their greencard.. Anyway, after 36 days from date of entry, I finally received my greencard on the mail.

Yes I honestly dont know where to find that IOE number. Why even asked if they did not even provide one. I guess just part of their way not to help or talk to us. Lol! Anyway, I was able to make an infopass appointment today. There was only one day available for this month here in Denver, only the 25th of this month. I was hoping I can get one sooner. Oh well Im still lucky to get an appt. ? Thank you all for the help.

-You pay your USCIS Immigrant Fee online[Green Card] @ https://www.uscis.gov/uscis-elis/log-online-filing.

After you submitted your payment to Pay.gov, YOU MUST CLICK THE CONTINUE BUTTON, to receive your RECEIPT NUMBER [iOE number] on the next screen. The IOE numbr will not be displayed in your email payment transaction you receive.

-You use that number to check your green card status @ https://www.uscis.gov/

-If you don't get the card by the due date, contact USCIS @ https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/contactus
