September 2007: Met online via social networking site (MySpace); began exchanging messages.
March 26, 2009: We become a couple!
September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!
June 21, 2010: Engaged!!!
September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated
May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Hello CherryL, could you tell me if you had to fill out the form Ds 2001?

[spoiler]Green card I-130:Wedding date January 16th,2015 I-130 sent: May 5th,2015 NOA1: May 7th, 2015 NOA2: October 23rd,2015 Sent to NVC Nov 3rd, 2015 Received at NVC on the November 9th,2015 NVC sent letter with Case number on December 2nd,2015 DS-261 on December 07th, 2015 Paid AOS fee on December 07th,2015 Paid IV fee on December 12th, 2015 Sent AOS and IV package on December 17th, 2015 Form Ds 260 submitted on December 21, 2015. (Delay due to Ds261 showing incomplete had to resubmit) Scan date: December 21st, 2015 Case complete: January 29th, 2016 Medical examination: March 4th, 2016 Interview: March 17th, 2016 at US Embassy in Paris - Approved ! March 18th, 2016 - CEAC shows visa ISSUED March 24th, 2016 - Visa received this morning Paid ELIS $165 fee + book flight on MArch 24th, 2016 POE Chicago on April 13th, 2016  Received green card on June 8th, 2016[/spoiler][/spoiler]

 

Removing condition I-751:

Submission: 2/1/2018

NOA 1 Received: 2/5/2018

Biometrics: 5/25/2018

18 month extension letter: 8/20/2018

RFE: 2/3/2019

I filed for a CR-1 (we have been married less than 2 years). I am surprised you had to fill out the Ds 2001, because they have give us the date of our interview which March 17th.

So in your case, you didnt have your interview date before sending the form DS 2001?

Oh maybe that's the reason. Because in my case, I already had the interview date. They emailed us on Thursday with our interview date and time. And before your reply, I asked another French with a CR-1 visa, and they didnt have to fill out the form DS 2001. However, she mentionned that I had to confirm my appointment online and I did it yesterday.

Thank you for your help. How are you adjusting to your life in Chicago? I actually live in Indiana, about 45 minute away from Chicago.

Yeah maybe that's why. It's actually the embassy that gave me the apt, and not NVC. You should be ok then ! Anyway NVC probably sent your file, so you'll fear from them soon if they need anything. Chicago is nice yeah, cold right now, but nice !
